These terms of use are effective as of January 22, 2023.
Welcome to Ridapad! These terms of Use (“terms”) apply to your (“you” or “your”) use
of Ridapad’s platform (the “Service”).
By using the service, you agree that these terms will become easily binding agreement between you and the Ridapad.
Who can use our Services?
1. Age requirement: Children may not access or use the service unless their use is directly authorized by their parents or guardian. Children in this context is a person under the age of 13 years old. In addition to being of minimum required age to use our services under applicable law, if you are not old enough to have authority to agree to our terms in your country or territory, please ask your parents or guardian to read these terms with you.
2. Use of device: You must provide certain devices and data connections to use our services. In order to use our services, you consent to manually or automatically download and install updates to our services anytime necessary. You also consent to our sending you notifications via our services from time to time, as necessary to provide our services to you.
3. Access to the service: Each person must have a unique account. To be able to make use of our platform, you will need to register for an account and create a password strong enough to secure your account from third parties. It is of importance to note that you are responsible for any activity conducted on your account. If you share your account with someone, kindly note that we don’t have the resources to determine your ownership (or if you shared your profile details), therefore we will not be liable to this unless impersonation is reported.
4. Legal and Acceptable use: you must access and use our services only for legal, authorized and acceptable purposes. You will not use our services in ways that;
a. Violate or infringe the rights of Ridapad, the users or others including privacy, publicity and intellectual property.
b. Are illegal, obscene, threatening, harassing, vulgar, intimidating or generally offensive which also includes promoting violent crimes, misleading statements or hate speech.
c. Impersonate someone or breaking the law that violates other people’s rights.
5. Damage to Ridapad or Users: you must not access, use, copy, adapt, steal, disrupt, plagiarize, display, perform or exploit our services in an unauthorized manner that will be a huge disservice to the system and our services. You will not use our services in ways that:
a. Reverse engineer, alter, modify, create, derivative works from, decompile or extract code from our services
b. Send, store or transmit viruses or other harmful computer code through or onto our services or the use of a robot, spider, crawler or any other automated means to access the services or extract other user’s information.
c. Gain unauthorized access to our services or collect information in an unauthorized manner.
d. Disrupt the integrity or performance of our services
e. Access the service for purposes of building or marketing a competitive product
f. Use the service to transmit unsolicited emails or engage in spamming
Rights we grant you
Ridapad does not claim ownership to the information you submit for
your Ridapad account or through our services. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive,
non-transferable license to access and use the services for your personal and non-commercial use only.
This license is subject to your use of the services in compliance with these terms of use.
Rights you grant us
In order to operate and provide our services, you grant Ridapad a
worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, reproduce, distribute, display,
create, publish, analyze, transmit, store (including the content) that you publish, submit and store
on or through our services.
This license is for the purpose of operating, developing, providing, promoting and
improving our services.
Its noteworthy that every story and blog news published on Ridapad is inherently public because
it’s a public content and therein, you grant us an irrevocable license to promote, syndicate,
exhibit and broadcast any of your public content.
We, our affiliates, and third-party partners may place advertising on
the services, including the personalized advertising based on the information
you provide us, we collect, or we obtain about you. Advertising may appear before, in or over your content.
We love to hear from you and get your suggestions but it’s crucial to know that we can
use these ideas without compensating or giving any due to you. You agree that we will
own all rights in any item we develop based on your feedback or suggestions.
Ridapad’s rights
It’s vital for you to respect Ridapad’s rights as well. We own all copyrights, trademarks,
domains, logos, trade dress, trade secrets, patents and other intellectual property rights
unless you have our authorized permission and except in accordance to our terms.
On no account should you add some extra pattern or change our logo in any way.
Respecting others’ rights
Ridapad respects the rights of others and so should you.
Therefore, you are not allowed to use any of our services in a way that infringes someone else’s right and when you
submit content to the service, you agree and represent your content and that you own and have received necessary
permissions and authorizations for your contents.
You also agree to not use another user’s account unless permitted by Ridapad.
If we become aware that a user has repeatedly infringed copyrights, we will make sure to terminate the user’s accounts.
User generated content
Ridapad respects every creator or publisher,
therefore any content including any communications, images or materials that you submit to us by
(publishing or uploading) will remain your property from the first instant.
You are solely responsible for your content and we do not claim ownership to any content.
However, you need to warrant that;
(1) You exclusively own or have the necessary licenses, rights and contents to publish any content you submit.
(2) Your user content does not infringe any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, moral right, right of publicity, right of privacy or other right of any other individual or entity
Safety
No matter how much we try to keep your account safe,
you are responsible for keeping your device and your account safe and secure and you must notify us promptly of
any unauthorized use or security breach of your account.
Third party services
Our services may allow you to access,
use or interact with third-party websites, content and other products and services.
You may be directed to a third-party application or websites through an advertisement or sponsored ads.
Please do note that when you use third-party services, their own terms and privacy policies will govern your use of those services.
Disclaimers
YOU USE OUR SERVICES AT YOUR OWN RISK AND SUBJECT TO
THE FOLLOWING DISCLAIMERS. WE ARE PROVIDING OUR SERVICES ON AN “AS IS” BASIS WITHOUT ANY EXPRESS
OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
IN ADDITION, WHILE WE ATTEMPT TO PROVIDE A GOOD USER EXPERIENCE, WE DO NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT:
A. THE SERVICES WILL BE SECURE, ERROR-FREE OR TIMELY
B. THE SERVICES WILL ALWAYS FUNCTION WITHOUT DELAYS, DISRUPTIONS OR IMPERFECTIONS
C. THAT ANY CONTENT OR INFORMATION OBTAIN ON OR THROUGH THE SERVICES WILL BE TIMELY OR ACCURATE
D. WE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR OR ASSUME LIABILTY FOR A THIRD PARTY CREATES, UPLOADS, POSTS, SENDS,
RECEIVES OR STORES ON THROUGH OUR SERVICES. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT YOU MAY BE EXPOSED TO
CONTENT THAT MIGHT BE OFFENSIVE, ILLEGAL, MISLEADING, OR OTHERWISE INAPPROPRIATE,
NONE OF WHICH WE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR.
Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL THE RIDAPAD PARTIES BE LIABLE TO ANY
LOST PROFITS OR CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, PUNITIVE, INDIRECT OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES RELATING TO, ARISING OUT OF,
OR IN ANY WAY IN CONNECTION WITH OUR TERMS, US OR OUR SERVICES. OUR LIMITED LIABILITY RELATING TO,
ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY IN CONNECTION WITH OUR TERMS, US OR OUR SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE
GREATER OF ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100) OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.
RIDAPAD IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR, AND ASSUMES NO LIABILITY FOR, THE CONTENTS OF USER CONTENTS.
THESE TERMS DO NOT EXCLUDE OR LIMIT LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF EITHER THE PARTY’S GROSS NEGLIGENCE, FRAUD OR DELIBERATE MISCONDUCT.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, compensate for losses and
liabilities, claims and hold harmless the Ridapad Parties from and against all liabilities,
damages and losses, and expenses of any kind (including reasonable legal fees and costs) relating
to, arising out of or connected to (a) your access to or use of services, including information
provided in connection (b) your alleged breach of our terms (c) any misrepresentation made by you.
You will fully agree to cooperate and help us in asserting any defenses.
How our Services is funded
Ridapad offers a free and paid service. You can learn more about
Ridapad’s subscription offers here.
a. Subscription and renewals: if you are subscribing to the Ridapad premium, you can sign up for either a monthly or
annual subscription. Your subscription will automatically renew annually or monthly strictly based on your
choice. However, you can decide to cancel anytime you want but you will not receive a refund
or credit for any amount that has been billed already
b. Changes to Pricing: Ridapad reserves the right to change its prices at any time. If you are on a
subscription plan, changes to pricing will not apply till your next renewal date.
c. Wallet funding: If you are creating advertisements or purchasing books on Ridapad, you can
fund your wallet to be able to do any of the above listed without having to continuously pay with your card.
You can also decide to read a book without paying in as much it’s a free one.
Disabling and termination of account
These terms shall take effect immediately
you access the Service
and shall continue in full force and effect until
i) if you are a paid subscriber, the expiration or termination of your
subscription;
ii) if your account gets terminated or deactivated due to the breach of terms of use.
Content Removal
Ridapad will alter, remove and deactivate any content that is in
negation to the terms of use which includes
a. Any content sponsoring hate speech, swear words, racial or ethnic discrimination and harmful statements.
b. Any content that violates or otherwise allegedly infringes on the copyright or other intellectual property,
or other rights of any entity or person.
c. Any content that is targeted to hurt or bring harm to another person or entity.
